Splinters and Pain: One in the Same?
I just discovered a fucking huge splinter in my hand. I thought it was just a bit of grit on my hand lol. The joys of being a tough little shit woth nerve damage. The inability to notice pain. I also managed to make myself bleed earlier. Don’t know when or how I did that either. Cubs at the boathouse (tell a lie it’s me that’s the problem lol) is dangerous!
Yes that would be only slightly horrible.
I have a sudden urge to eat cake right now. I don’t know about you, dear reader, but that looks amazing.

I struggle so much to explain why I’m so involved in Scouting and I don’t mean just actively involved, I mean I am obsessively actively involved but hopefully this will give you some insight.

While this may only seem relevant to education, this idea, this concept, this way of thinking and living is much more than that. Sure the first place this needs to occur is in our schools but do the question is what other places does this concept apply? Could it being in Scouting? Would this need radical change from what the intent and purpose of scouting is? The first answer is yes it applies to Scout but for the answer to the second question make people believe that it would need radical change to happen. The truth is it won’t you will only need to go back and and gain understanding of what “True Traditional Scouting” is supposed to be like. Let me ask you these questions………….
Is Scouting about tying knots and lashings?……………No it isn’t!
Is Scouting about te team and patrol competitions scouts participate in?……….No it isn’t!
Is Scouting about know how to find your way during both the night and day without using a compass?……………No it isn’t?
Is Scouting about memorizing information that most would view as pointless?…………No it isn’t!
But What Scouting is………….
Scouting is about learning how to be a better citizen.
Scouting is about understanding, knowing, and respecting your and others belief system.
Scouting is about environmental stewardship.
Scouting is an opportunity to learn. And to say that what you can learning in Scouting is finite and very focused in nature, would be the understatement of the century. Scouting helps others learn and learning to learn is what this video is all about.
